Find Out Why Moses Wetangula Is NASA'S Most Preferred Presidential Candidate

FORK-KENYA leader Moses Wetangula has for long been considered as the dark horse in the NASA stable. Wetangula has never vied for presidency before as his fellow three co-principals. Moreover, he has never held the second highest in the country unlike his fellows such as Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi.

If the NASA agreement is adhered to then Moses Wetangula has all it takes to be elected as the NASA flag bearer. This is so because he holds the shortest political stint as compared to his fellows in the coalition. According to the political analyst Angela Ambitho,

 Moses Wetangula is the most pitted as compared to his more seasoned opponents such as Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga. Therefore, Wetangula seems handy in ambushing his rivals in the coming general elections. Another political analyst Prof Amukowa Anagwe says that Wetangula stands a better chance of defeating jubilee since his qualities are unpredictable and has unknown political dealings.

Research conducted by the Daily Nation reveals that the jubilee coalition is not aware of his strengths and weakness. She adds that if he is chosen then it should not be misconstrued as a misplaced favor. According to the constitution, the issue of separation of power limits an individual to run for the top office and parliament concurrently. This means that there is high possibility of the losers being locked out of the august House.

When weighing the chances of Wetangula and Mudavadi being appointed as the NASA flag bearers, Wetangula stands a better chance since he has spearheaded many reforms during his tenure as the senate leader of minority.

Conversely, he has been the voice of the incumbent CORD coalition. Wetangula has also been active in championing the agendas of opposition in parliament as well as pushing for implementation of many reforms.

This means that he has demonstrated good leadership styles while working in in various parliamentary teams and in the national assembly. This makes the Bungoma senator lead as an example as compared to his counterpart Musalia Mudavadi. On the other hand,Mualia Mudavadi also stands better chances since he was recently appointed as the Luyha spokesperson. This means that he commands bigger tenure nationally.

At the same time, he is capable of commanding more support from his community and nationally. But many people have expressed many opinions saying that Wetangula is more practical in pushing the Luhya case since he is more vocal than his counterpart.

Prof Anagwe further added that Mr.Wetangula is more brazen and realistic in demonstrating belief and the bias towards the entire Luhya community.
