Today, the former premier assured Kenyans that he was out of danger after the situation that caused controversy across the country. Raila Odinga stated that he was out of danger after the food poisoning incident. The former premier gave the official statement about the state of his health after hosting a morning breakfast meeting with friends at his Karen home.
According to his spokesperson Dennis Onyango, the former premier was rushed to Karen hospital where the medics diagnosed him with food poisoning. He was later treated and discharged. Onyango further said that Odinga would fly to South Africa to visit his ailing daughter Rosemary who has been receiving treatment.
Rosemary was flown to South Africa last week after falling ill, and she has been receiving treatment in undisclosed hospital.
