Shock As The Disappeared School Principal Is Found Dead

A school principal, who disappeared last week on Monday before Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i made an impromptu visit in Murang'a County, was found dead over the weekend. Solomon Mwangi's body, was found dumped at Juja-Kiahuria dam near Weteithie in Thika and had signs of strangling. Before his disappearance, Mwangi, who was the head at Kiru Secondary School, was scheduled to collect KCSE material for candidates at Kiriaini Sub-county on the fateful day but failed to turn up. Luckily enough, Matiang'i had visited the area to monitor the progress of the exams and directed other officials to collect the papers and deliver them to schools within the County. CS Matiang'i seemed surprised by the incident and directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to launch a manhunt for the principal. On the other hand, reports indicated that Mr Mwangi could have disappeared on Sunday with attempts to reach him by phone proving futile. Leaders and fellow school principals took to the streets last week on Wednesday over his mysterious disappearance. The family of the Principal positively identified Mr Mwangi's body which was taken to City mortuary and have called for immediate investigations to ascertain the motive behind his killing. On Monday, police arrested Mwangi's wife but it's not yet clear why she was apprehended. Here is the photo of Solomon Mwangi:
