Revealed:Why Martha Karua Will Not Join Any Coalition

Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua on Thursday declared that she would neither join any coalition ahead of the 2017 Elections.

With speculations rife that she was set to join the Opposition, Karua dismissed the claims stating that she would vie for Presidency on a Narc-Kenyan Party ticket.

Martha Karua posted on twitter saying that the party is @narckenya and she has no intention to join CORD or Jubilee.

Sometimes back, the former Gichugu MP had previously warmed up to the Opposition and even helped them push for reforms in different institutions.
However, in the last two months, she has steered clear of CORD affairs and after her latest announcement, it's now clear that she is set to chart her own political road.

This announcement sounds as a major blow to CORD coalition which intended to invite her so s to form a super alliance. The former legislator has affirmed that she has all the rights to vie for the top seat and also make sure that Narc Kenya remains stable as a party.
“We want to make Narc Kenya a strong party so that we field candidates at all levels in 2017,” said Ms Karua.

Earlier on during an exclusive interview , ODM leader Raila Oinga had divulged that they were expecting more people to join them and form a Super alliance.
It’s now clear that she won't be part of those expected to join CORD despite their close relationship.

Find Out Why President Uhuru Kenyatta Should Start Packing From State House

The Amani National Congress (ANC) delegates have now given their party leader Musalia Mudavadi a green light to unite with the CORD leader Raila Odinga in order to form a National Super Alliance (NASA). In a statement read by the ANC Secretary General yesterday, ANC leaders promised to work together like leaders who are like minded against the misrule by Jubilee Administration. Osotsi further reiterated that the ruling coalition is characterized with condoning rampant corruption, a ruinous and extravagant economic model of borrowing, arrogant ethnic exclusionism and ruining our youth with the hustler mentality. Mudavadi said the ANC party would like to engage with the opposition to form The National Super Alliance (NASA). “The National Super Alliance (NASA) or Muungano Maalum is a serious debate we would like to engage in particularly with those in the opposition. The whole idea is to have a more inclusive and robust political dispensation,” said Musalia Mudavadi.
