Bonface Mwangi Exposes DP William Ruto's Affair With University Student

After being sued by Deputy President William Ruto for defamation, human rights activists Boniface Mwangi has added salt to the injury after making more allegations against Ruto. Through his lawyer Gitobu Imanyara, the activist on Friday filed counter-accusations against Ruto adding two more claims to prove his earlier sentiments that the DP “has no reputation worthy the indulgence of a court of justice”. In the defence papers submitted at the Milimani Law Courts, Mwangi claims that DP Ruto had an alleged exra-marital 'liaison' with a University student who bore him a child in 2006. “The defence and counterclaim also opens less known claims, such as William Ruto’s alleged extra-marital liaison with an unnamed university student, who bore his baby on March 6th, 2006. William Ruto allegedly neglected to support the baby until court action was threatened against him,” read a statement from the activist's legal team. More to that, Mwangi has turned the tables and sued Ruto for defamation accusing him of purporting that he (Mwangi) was a drunkard. “Defence filed on behalf of Boniface Mwangi, contains a counter-claim against Deputy President for defamation following comments that the Deputy President made on local media insinuating that Boniface Mwangi is a perpetual drunk, who routinely wakes up late to nurse a hangover,” added the team. According to his lawyer, the statement made by Ruto had caused Mr Mwangi distress and portrayed him in bad light. “As a consequence of the publication of the Deputy President's remarks, his reputation has been seriously damaged, he has suffered distress and embarrassment," stated Imanyara. Mwangi, in the 36-page defence denied defaming the DP but instead linked him to several scandals in corrupt land deals, businessman Jacob Juma's death, 2010 maize saga and the crimes against humanity case at the ICC which was terminated earlier in the year . As such, the vocal activist wants Ruto to pay him damages, cover the cost of the case and be declared unfit to hold office for violating the Leadership and Integrity Act. In the past month, Mwangi has been engaging in ugly spats with the DP's team with each side maintaining a hard line and daring to take each other head on in courts.

Bonface Mwangi Reveals Why DP William Ruto Is After Him

Human Rights activist Boniface Mwangi on Tuesday morning explained why Deputy President William Ruto was pursuing him after the allegedly defaming tweets he posted.
 Speaking on KTN's morning show, an outspoken Mwangi divulged that the DP was not pleased with him since the 2015 Lang'ata Road Primary School protest in which he led the pupils in destroying a wall Weston Hotel had built around the disputed land. The journalist noted that it was public knowledge that Mr Ruto had been mentioned in various graft cases but had never sued any individual. According to Mwangi, Ruto, who is the owner of the hotel, had not gotten over the demolition that attracted global media coverage. The civil rights activist stated that the DP 'wants to photoshop his past' which he emphasized was marred with dubious dealings. On Friday, Ruto through his lawyers sued Mwangi accusing him of libel. He demanded for an immediate apology and for Mwangi to pull down the tweets from his social media account. However, in the interview Mwangi reiterated that he would never apologise nor delete the tweets from his timeline. “That is not going to happen. I will not delete the tweet,” he said. He highlighted that his tweet, which linked Ruto to the murder of controversial businessman Jacob Juma, was prompted by the DP himself who had accused him of being a drunkard on live television. Mwangi added that he had no issue with any individual leader in the country but his main problem was corruption, murder, and other evils in the society. “I am not bitter against any individuals. I have no problem with anybody. I do not care about people, I care about issues,” he stated. Questioned whether he would consider joining politics, Mwangi said that there was no party in the country that supports his ideology. Nonetheless, he remarked that if a party which went hand-in-hand with his values was to be formed in Kenya he would consider. “I do not believe in Jubilee, CORD...If someone comes up with a party that I support its ideologies I would consider,” he mentioned.

ACTIVIST BONFACE MWANGI FINALLY APOLOGISES TO DP WILLIAM RUTO

Human rights activist Boniface Mwangi on Friday took an interesting turn to apologise for linking Deputy President William Ruto to murder, land grabbing and stealing.
 Mr Mwangi stated that since he was instructed to apologise within seven days, he was ready to do so and decided to use his twitter handle to sarcastically ask for forgiveness. Using the hashtag #IamSorry, the outspoken journalist highlighted various corruption cases in the country using caricatures by renowned satirical cartoonist Gado as his apology to the DP. “I was given 7 days to apologise by the DP. Today is the 7th day. I want to apologise. Follow this hashtag #IamSorry,” Mwangi said mockingly. Mwangi sarcastically expressed that he was deeply sorry for the infamous scandals in Kenya such as; the Maize Scandal, IEBC's Chickengate scandal, land grabbing among others. He further told off the DP for the evils in the country such as extrajudicial killings, tribalism and poaching. Meanwhile, Ruto on Friday made good his threat to sue the activist for linking him to the murder of slain businessman Jacob Juma. In the law suit the DP wants the court to compel the activist to delete the twitter message and publish an apology. More to this, he demands the apology and retraction be given prominence on social media, newspapers and electronic media. He further wants the activist to be barred from ever publishing or posting on social media any defamatory material against him and also seeks damages for libel.

Bonface Mwangi a well renowned political activist has totally refused to apologize to the Deputy President William Ruto over an alleged tweet he posted alluding that the Deputy President Killed the controversial businessman Jacob Juma. Prior to his death,Jacob Juma had called the Deputy President a corrupt figure allegations which were linked the DP to his death. Recently,the vocal activist posted a tweet alluding that Ruto may be planning to kill him the way he did to his friend Jacob Juma. Through his lawyer Kioko Kilukumi,Ruto gave Mwangi an ultimatum to apologize or face the law. Consequently,Mwangi has remained defiant and has totally refused to apologize
