Here Is The Biggest Nightmare Between President Uhuru Kenyatta And Raila Odinga Ahead Of August 8 Elections

President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to have difficult times in deciding nomination party tickets in their strongholds
As political parties prepare their preliminaries ahead of the august 8th elections, Both President Uhuru Kenyatta and former premier Raila Odinga are likely to face tough times. There is a possibility of high-profile party detections from the two top coalitions.

This move comes as aspirants from their respective political parties scramble to secure party tickets ahead of the coming august 8th 2017 general elections. Some of the political heavyweights from Kenyatta and odinga’s strongholds have already declared that whatever comes they will have to be on the ballot.

This issue is further complicated since the new law which was enacted obstructs politicians from hoping from one party to another after failing to be nominated by their respective political parties. As a result, there is a high possibility of experiencing high profile politicians from opposition and JAP exiting their parties since they feel that they assured of the party ticket ahead of the general elections.

Recents defections were witnessed in Meru County on Wednesday when President Uhuru Kenyata’s advisor Kilemi Mwiria bolted out of Jubilee party to join Alfred Mutua’s newly launched Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC). Other likely challenges in Jubilee party is in Embu county gubernatorial seat where the incumbent Governor Martin Wambora will have to battle it out will senator Lenny Kavuti and Cecily Mbarire Runyenjes Mp. All of them will battle it out to get the jubilee ticket for the governorship race.

In Kiambu, both the incumbent governor William Kabogo and Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu will battle for the jubilee ticket for the governorship race. The same scenario has also giving Raila Odinga some headache. For instance, in Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma and Anyang’ Nyongo who are both close allies to the former premier are also eying the gubernatorial seat.

The situation is similar in Siaya County where Siaya senator James Orengo and Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo will battle it out to take on the incumbent governor Cornel Rasanga in the governorship race. Therefore, it high time for the heavyweights to decide which side to be since party leaders will have sleepless nights in deciding who will make it to the next level
