Exclusive Images Of SGR Trains Which Arrived In Mombasa

Images of the Standard Gauge Railways locomotives which arrived in Kenya.
Jubilee government under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have managed to complete one of their mega projects. This includes the arrival of first batch of trains which were part of Sh.327 billion mega project (Standard Gauge Railway).

We managed to capture some photos of the new arrivals though the trains are not as appealing as Kenyans expected. The trains are supposed to start ferrying passengers from Nairobi to Mombasa by mid this year. Due to their super speed, they are expected to take around 4 hours from Nairobi to Mombasa which is a super speed faster than that of an ordinary bus.

Kenyans on different social media platforms have expressed mixed reactions saying that trains which arrived in the country are totally different from what the government promised during the launch of the mega project by the jubilee government.

Transport CS James Macharia said that the trains are one of the best trains in the world and the project will be completed 18 months ahead of the schedule.
Here are more images of the trains:
