Coalition
for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) set to make a new move after amendments to the
recently negotiated laws were passed in the National Assembly
Wiper
leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday said that the coalition is likely to begin
mass action aimed at protesting against the laws which have been proposed by
IEBC.
The laws are set to allow IEBC to resort to a manual voter identification
system.
The
Wiper leader further retaliated that the opposition has been pushed to the wall
and therefore they have no option left rather than being ready for a strict
action against the government. This is due to the fact that the laws were passed
by Jubilee lawmakers only.
CORD
coalition is set to rally all Kenyans so that they can exercise their
democratic rights whereby they will be participating in peaceful protests beginning
January 4, 2017.
CORD
leader Raila Odinga said that the time has come to liberate Kenya from Jubilee
regime and went further to maintain that the regulations were passed so as to
facilitate rigging of votes in the upcoming polls.
