Mutahi Ngunyi: Here Is My Prediction About 2017 General Elections

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has made an intriguing prediction of the much awaited 2017 presidential election.

While making his remarks,Mr Ngunyi went ahead and warned CORD leader Raila Odinga that he would lose the election in case the Musalia Mudavadi-proposed National Super Alliance (NASA) is formed and remains intact.

According to Mutahi Ngunyi, the unity of NASA will mean that a leader from Luhyaland would overtake the former Prime Minister in the presidential race. Raila is likely to be number 3 ,if Luhya Renaissance happens and UNITY under NASA is achieved. The Run-Off will be between a Luhya Candidate and JP (Jubilee)," Ngunyi hypothesised.

The political scientist, who is also an ardent supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta, has on countless occasions opined that Mr Odinga does not stand a chance to clinch the top seat. Ngunyi believes that the only political accomplishment the ODM leader will have is being the one person who contested for the Presidency a thousand times. Other key political figures advocating for NASA include Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto with his Mashinani Party and KANU’s Gideon Moi.

 Meanwhile, on Monday this week, ODM's National Treasuer Richard Bosire stated that the party was not interested in the NASA idea but was working on bringing all the Opposition leaders into the CORD coalition to make sure President Uhuru Kenyatta is not re-elected in 2017.
