Mike Sonko Declares Himself Third In Command

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has finally spoken for the first time after he caused drama during the burial of former Kathiani Member of Parliament (MP) Wavinya Ndeti's husband in Mavoko, Machakos County.
During the burial, Sonko declared himself the third in command claiming President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were out of the country. After causing the ugly scene, the flamboyant senator posted a photo while in office and seemed to be having a good time stating that he had a successful day at work. “Relaxing in my office as I reflect after a long and productive day at work.” Sonko posted on twitter. Sonko, temporarily halted the burial after making the outrageous announcement forcing ODM leader Raila Odinga to leave among other leaders who had graced the burial ceremony. “The President is in Togo and his Deputy is in France. I am now the third in command and the acting President of the Republic of Kenya. All these police officers and vehicles you see are here because am now the acting President,” Sonko affirmed. It took the intervention of Wavinya Ndeto to calm him down before normalcy resumed. Kenyans called for the arrest of Sonko after the video went viral on social media with others terming his behaviour treason. After posting the message which appeared sarcastic, online users attacked him and warned him that he was waiting to be arrested because of his behaviour. Here are some of the reactions:
